Yes, that is very true, KDP is hard for selling, especially KDP select. I tried it once or twice, KDP select, but not again.
I use Draft2Digital where sales are good and they also distribute my work to Smashwords and other sellers as well as libraries. I would definitely recommend Draft2Digital, which is connected to Books2Read. Draft2Digital also makes it possible to offer book promotions.
