The Life We Want and the Life We Live

Make the most of the life you have

The life we want may not always be,
The life that we are living presently.
Make the most of the life you have,
It is the precious moments that count.

There are people who dream about the future.
Some make a concerted effort to change,
The lives that they are living for good.
Others complain and stand like blocks of wood.

We do not have to be the same way in life.
We can change and make a difference.
This life is for those who believe they can,
Create a new destiny and a new life plan.

The son of a fisherman need not be one.
The daughter of a farmer could choose to be,
A violinist, a pianist or conductor of a symphony.
You can be whatever you set your heart on to be.

Carve a niche in this world of yours.
You are needed for the role meant for you.
The forces will align to make your destiny.
You are a soul that will travel to eternity.
