Amazon KDP gives you the tools to create a simple cover for your e-book.

Try Canva again, they have tried to make it more intuitive. I have been using the site for over a decade now.

You could also get a great cover designed on Fiverr by a Freelancer. I have not tried them but I hear that they create great covers.

Do not give up Orla. Keep going on and get that e-book published. :)
