The alarms start to go off at the Face Value Headquarters and in all the phone booths a message keeps flashing, “YOU HAVE ZERO VALUE- GET A VALUE OR YOU WILL BE ELIMINATED”.

This message keeps on repeating itself mechanically.

Merle runs to save herself as she sees the Faceless Squad of Robot coming up in the elevators of the building.

Merle Grayson has zero face value and has to now hide from the law.

Merle’s real name is Merle Posten, she changed her name in order to hide her identity. Merle Posten is the daughter of Beatrice and Frank Posten.

Merle checks the score of Merle Posten and she is surprised to find that Merle Posten has a high and rising score.

Someone is using her identity and she must track her down and claim her real face value.

As an officer of the Face Value Bureau, Merle is not going to wait for the Faceless Squad of assassin machines to arrive for her and she knows that the justice meted out is death.

Living without a face value in the underground Faceless City with Zero lives is proving to be very difficult for Merle.
