Amazing is a Great Hook
It gets the attention of the Reader, even when “Winter is Coming”
The word “Amazing” is a great hook to get your reader's attention. I am waiting for winter to arrive, with snow and cold wintry days. This is not to say that I do not like summer. I love all the seasons in the world and all the seasons of life as well. The seasons are amazing springboards for story ideas, in my opinion as a writer.
When I hear the phrase “winter is coming”, I immediately think about the extraordinary books and the television series, “Game of Thrones”, by George R. R. Martin.
The story and the series were gory, over-the-top yet interesting, and entertaining globally. A lot of credit needs to be given to the writer who devised and created the whole story with its characters, conflicts, plots, subplots, resolutions, and climaxes. It is the dream of every fiction author, in my opinion, to write such a saga, including myself.
